Varied colors, lengths, and grips
Some stretchy, some bunchy, some crunchy elastic
Some double-sided, but plagued with a seam
That crowds in the toes in a conspiring scheme
If the rubber’s too bumpy like a hospital cleat
There’s no hope of maintaining my orderly sheets
Too short and direct contact with the leg compression machine
Should my bare skin graze any thing I will never feel clean.
Yet hidden amongst them does lay a gem
with calf high suspension and fabric goldilocks thin
Generously treaded. Rubber flat. Toes have space
Both top and bottom sport an anti-slip smiley face
XXL is my preference, I don’t care the tint
Swollen feet full of saline free from sock line imprints
Many pairs are required, germs contaminate fast
Floors made of lava, like from memories past.
Safe in my foot armor, from both microbes and falls
Such flawless fabrication deserves every bit of applause.
Not everywhere has them, but should I find them in stock
Each pair is treasured The Perfect Hospital Sock
